What is Hyperkinetic Pulse?

It is a  high amplitude pulse with a rapid rise (large volumeand wide pulse pressure).

Causes of hyperkinetic pulse are

• High output states—Anaemia, pyrexia, beriberi
• Mitral regurgitation
• Ventricular septal defect.
