Endocardial Cushions separate the atria from ventricle
They form initial division between atria and ventricles
This is formed on
the dorsal and ventral wall of
atrioventricular canals
Endocardial cushion grow into canal to meet and fuse to separate atrioventricular
canal into right and left heart channels
The anterior and posterior cushions fuse but the lateral
cushions remain unfused
